Registration & consent
A few compliance basics keep your number in good standing with carriers and the law.
One-time number registration
Section titled “One-time number registration”Depending on your region, activating a number may require a one-time registration (a small fee and carrier sign-up). When it applies, CoveCall prompts you from your dashboard during or after setup, and the number activates once it’s complete.
A2P messaging registration
Section titled “A2P messaging registration”If Neuros sends texts (confirmations, missed-call follow-ups), US carriers require A2P 10DLC registration — a one-time process that registers your business and messaging use case so your texts deliver reliably and aren’t filtered as spam. CoveCall guides this where messaging is enabled.
Call recording & consent
Section titled “Call recording & consent”CoveCall transcribes and summarizes calls so you get accurate records. Recording and transcription laws vary by location — some places require all parties to consent, others only one.
- A simple way to stay clear is to include a line in your greeting such as “calls may be recorded for quality and scheduling.”
- Set expectations for your team and check the rules in the regions you operate in.
