Getting a phone number

Neuros answers on a phone number. You can get a brand-new one or bring your existing line. It all lives on the Numbers screen.

Get a new number

1. Open Numbers and choose New local or Toll-free.
2. For a local number, enter your area code and Search. For toll-free, just Search.
3. Pick a number from the results and Buy.

Once active, the number shows as Answering, and Neuros begins handling calls according to your answer mode.

Depending on your region, a new number may require a one-time registration before it can take calls — see Registration & consent.

Local vs. toll-free

• Local numbers carry an area code your community recognizes — great for neighborhood businesses.
• Toll-free numbers (800, 888, etc.) read as established and national, and are free for callers to dial.

Tip

Numbers and per-minute carrier fees are billed at cost through the telephony provider, separate from your CoveCall plan.
