The onboarding walkthrough

When you first sign up, CoveCall walks you through a short setup. You can move back and forth between steps, and nothing goes live until the end. Here’s each step and why it’s there.

Search for your business by name and city to auto-fill the basics (name, type, address, website, hours, phone), or enter them manually. You’ll set:

  • Business name, type, owner/contact name, team size
  • Address, website, and a short description
  • What Neuros knows — a knowledge field you can auto-generate from your website and description, then edit. Neuros only answers from what’s here, so the better this is, the better your calls.

Set your opening hours (used for “are you open?” answers, booking times, and after-hours handling), plus the phone and email where you want alerts and call summaries.

Pick your receptionist persona and voice, and edit the greeting. On higher plans you can enable a rotating roster so a different named voice answers each call — it feels like a team rather than a bot.

Choose how callers reach Neuros:

  • New local number (auto-suggested for your area code)
  • New toll-free number
  • Port / forward your existing number — you get a CoveCall number now and forward your current line to it instantly; a full port can follow later

Then set your answer mode: answer every call, ring you first and catch what you miss, after-hours only, or off for now.

Turn on the alerts that matter to you:

  • Caller asks for the owner or a manager
  • Caller sounds upset or it’s urgent
  • Allow live transfer to a human for sensitive topics

Choose Starter, Accel, or Scale and start your 14-day free trial (a card is required; no charge until the trial ends). When you launch, your number is wired up and Neuros starts answering.

You’ll land in the portal. Good next moves:
