How it works

Here’s what happens on a single inbound call — from the ring to the follow-up.

Escalate?notify · transfer · message
Wrap upsummary · log · alert

One inbound call, end to end. Steps in the middle vary with how the call goes.

  1. The phone rings. Your answer mode decides who picks up: Neuros answers everything, rings you first and catches what you miss, covers after-hours, or stays off.

  2. Neuros greets the caller with your greeting, in your chosen voice — in English or Spanish, matching the caller.

  3. It understands what they want. Neuros listens, figures out the caller’s intent (booking, a question, a complaint), and responds using only your business knowledge — it won’t invent prices or policies.

  4. It takes action on the call:

    • Answers questions from your knowledge base.
    • Books an appointment into a connected calendar, offering real open times.
    • Captures details — name, number, reason for calling.
    • Runs connector actions (look up a customer, create a lead, send a text) when you’ve enabled them.
  5. It escalates when it should. Your rules can have Neuros notify you, take a message, or warm-transfer the call to a human with a spoken summary — for example when a caller asks for the owner or sounds upset.

  6. It wraps up and logs everything. After the call, CoveCall saves a summary, a timestamped transcript, the outcome (booked, message, transferred…), and a sentiment read — then alerts you if the call needed your attention.

Actually, can I just speak to the owner about a billing issue?

Of course — let me get someone for you right now. One moment while I connect you.

Each call streams audio in real time through a voice pipeline — speech-to-text, a language model that decides what to say, and text-to-speech — fast enough to feel like a normal conversation. If you’re curious how that’s built, see Infrastructure & architecture.
