Answer modes

Your answer mode decides when Neuros answers. You choose one for your account on the Numbers screen.

The four modes

AI answers everything

Every call goes straight to Neuros. Best for full 24/7 coverage.

Ring me first, AI as backup

We ring your phone first; if you don’t pick up within the time you set, Neuros answers. Best when you want to take calls yourself but never miss one.

Only after hours

You handle calls during your open hours; Neuros covers nights, weekends, and holidays.

AI off

Use the number like a normal phone — Neuros doesn’t answer.

Setting your mode

1. Open Numbers in the portal.
2. Under call handling, pick a mode.
3. For ring me first and after hours, enter your phone and how long to ring you for (e.g. 20 seconds) before Neuros steps in.
4. Save call handling.

Note

“Ring me first” and “after hours” use your hours and your phone number — set your hours on the Agent screen and keep your contact number current in Settings.

Tip

Answer mode controls when Neuros picks up. What it does once it’s on a call is shaped by your knowledge, Call Map, and escalation rules.
