Common issues
Find your symptom below. Each has the usual cause and how to fix it.
My number isn’t answering
Section titled “My number isn’t answering”Symptom. Calls to your number don’t reach Neuros.
Cause. Usually the number isn’t fully active, forwarding isn’t set, or registration is pending.
Fix.
- Open Numbers and check the number shows active / Answering.
- If you’re keeping your own number, confirm forwarding
is on (try
*72immediate forwarding to test). - Look for a pending one-time registration and complete it if shown.
Calls ring my phone instead of the AI
Section titled “Calls ring my phone instead of the AI”Symptom. Your phone rings rather than Neuros answering.
Cause. Your answer mode is ring-me-first or after hours, or you’ve hit a hard cap.
Fix. On Numbers, switch to AI answers everything for full coverage, or check your usage if you’re at your minute limit.
Neuros isn’t booking appointments
Section titled “Neuros isn’t booking appointments”Symptom. It takes a message instead of booking.
Cause. No calendar is connected, or booking actions aren’t enabled.
Fix.
- Connect a calendar and use Test to confirm.
- Make sure your hours and default appointment length are set on the Agent screen.
- Check per-action controls for that connector.
I’m not getting alerts
Section titled “I’m not getting alerts”Symptom. No SMS or email when a call needs you.
Cause. Notifications are off, or your contact details/escalation rules aren’t set.
Fix. Check notification toggles in Settings, confirm your phone and email are correct, and review your escalation rules.
Neuros gives a wrong or vague answer
Section titled “Neuros gives a wrong or vague answer”Symptom. It says “I’m not sure” or gets a detail wrong.
Cause. The answer isn’t in its knowledge — Neuros won’t guess.
Fix. Add or correct the detail in business knowledge on the Agent screen, then save.
A connector won’t connect
Section titled “A connector won’t connect”Symptom. A tool shows “soon” or won’t link.
Cause. Some CRM and field-service connectors aren’t live yet.
Fix. Use a supported calendar today, or wire your own systems with webhooks and custom actions.
