Porting & forwarding

You don’t have to change the number on your truck, your cards, or your listings. Keep your existing line and route it to CoveCall.

Forward (instant)

You get a CoveCall number now and forward your existing line to it. Calls start reaching Neuros today, and your old number keeps working.

Full port (1–5 days)

Move the number itself to CoveCall. This takes a few business days; start it anytime from the Numbers screen.

The exact steps depend on your carrier, but the common options are:

  • Immediate forwarding — dial *72 from your existing phone, then your CoveCall number. Every call forwards to Neuros. Turn it off later with *73.
  • Conditional forwarding — set your carrier’s “forward when unanswered/busy” to your CoveCall number. Your phone rings first; Neuros catches what you miss (this pairs well with the ring-me-first answer mode).
  • VoIP / business lines (Google Voice, RingCentral, Grasshopper, etc.) — set forwarding in that service’s settings.
  1. In Numbers, choose Use my own and note your CoveCall number.
  2. Turn on forwarding at your carrier using one of the methods above.
  3. Place a test call to confirm Neuros answers.

When you’re ready to move the number itself, begin the port from the Numbers screen. Keep forwarding on until the port completes (typically 1–5 business days) so you never miss a call during the transition.
