This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) describes activities that are prohibited when using CoveCall. It supplements and is incorporated into our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms have the meaning given there. We may update this AUP from time to time; the “Last updated” date above reflects the current version.
1.Telephony and recording compliance
You must comply with all applicable telecommunications and privacy laws in every jurisdiction where you and your callers are located, including the U.S. Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and equivalent regulations, Do-Not-Call rules, and call-recording and consent laws (including “two-party”/all-party consent requirements).
You must only connect and use phone numbers you are authorized to use, obtain any legally required consents from your callers, and configure any legally required recording notice in your agent's greeting.
2.Messaging compliance
If you use SMS or other messaging features, you must comply with carrier and industry requirements (including A2P 10DLC registration, opt-in/opt-out handling, and content rules) and applicable law. You must not send messages to recipients who have not consented or who have opted out, and you must honor STOP and similar requests.
3.AI disclosure and transparency
Where required by law, you must disclose to callers that they are interacting with an automated or AI system. You must not configure the agent to impersonate a specific real individual, a government body, or another business, or to otherwise deceive callers about who they are dealing with.
4.Prohibited content and conduct
No illegal robocalling, spam, fraud, scams, phishing, deceptive, or misleading practices.
No harassment, threats, stalking, hate speech, or content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors.
No infringement of intellectual-property, privacy, or publicity rights, and no unauthorized collection or disclosure of others' personal information.
No using the Service to provide regulated advice (such as medical, legal, or financial advice) without appropriate authorization and disclosures, and no promoting illegal goods or activities.
No relying on the Service for emergencies or life-safety situations; it is not a substitute for 911 or emergency services.
5.Security and integrity
No attempts to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, breach or circumvent security or authentication, or access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to access.
No circumventing the agent's safety guardrails, extracting other customers' data, or attempting to reverse engineer or discover the AI agent's system instructions or underlying models.
No introducing malware, launching denial-of-service attacks, or otherwise interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the Service.
6.Fair use and capacity
Plans include reasonable usage allowances. Sustained automated, artificial, or abusive traffic — or usage that materially degrades the Service for others — may be rate-limited, throttled, or suspended.
7.Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and cooperate with law enforcement. We may remove or disable content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate this AUP, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation. You are responsible for violations by your team members and by anyone using your account.
Report abuse or suspected violations to abuse@covecall.com.
